ABCD President and CEO Sharon Scott-Chandler joined distinguished panelists including Imari Paris Jeffries, Executive Director of Embrace Boston; Tanisha M. Sullivan, President of NAACP Boston Branch; Jha Amazi, Principal of MASS Design Group and architect of Embrace; and Adrian Walker, The Boston Globe Columnist/Associate Editor, for GBH’s forum “The State of Race: Embrace Changemakers Then & Now” hosted in honor of last month’s unveiling of The Embrace memorial on the Boston Common.
Scott-Chandler discussed the legacies and lasting impact of two influential members of ABCD’s history who are honored by the 1965 Freedom Plaza on which The Embrace sits, including ABCD co-founder Melnea Cass and long-time ABCD President and CEO Robert M. Coard.
