ABCD has been busy meeting the economic challenges created by the pandemic. The Boston-based agency has been helping needy people locally since the early ’60’s.
President/CEO John Drew said, “We’re doing food, we’re doing rent, we’re doing anything we can.” He wants to get the word out today, with wind chills around zero, that they also provide heating fuel assistance. But the agency could really use some help from the federal government.
Drew says the pandemic widened the economic disparities that already existed.
