ABCD offers two dynamic programs designed to help Boston’s youth build the skills, confidence, and experience needed for a bright future. Whether you are still in school or ready to take the next step in your career journey, we have opportunities for you.


Level Up: Elevate Your Career and Your Life

Get Ahead with Level Up
Make a life for yourself with a career that aligns with your interests. Level Up helps you find, prepare for, and enter the field you want.

Program Benefits:

  • Enroll in College: Get tuition assistance to pursue a certificate-level degree at a local college.
  • Paid Internship: Gain hands-on experience with a paid internship while you study.
  • Additional Support: Access childcare, T passes, IDs, food, and more.
  • Professional Development: Attend workshops, field trips, and networking opportunities with industry professionals.
  • Job Counseling: Receive one-on-one guidance, resume writing support, job search, and interview preparation.

Eligibility:

  • Boston youth ages 18-24 who are income-eligible, not currently enrolled in high school or college, and not working full-time.

  • Health
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Human Services

Bonus: Maintain at least an 80% attendance rate and secure a guaranteed paid SummerWorks job for the summer.

WorkSMART: Balance School and Work

Put Your Energy and Ideas to Work
WorkSMART gives you the academic and social support to excel in school while exploring a career path through a paid internship.

Program Benefits:

  • Paid Internship: Work 10 hours per week for 10 weeks with a schedule that fits your school hours.
  • Academic Support: Receive two hours of tutoring and counseling weekly to help balance school and work.
  • Career Development: Develop a personalized plan to help you graduate high school, pursue further education, or land a great job.

Eligibility:

  • Boston students in grades 7-12, ages 14-21.
