Samuel (Sam) DePina serves in a Private Sector seat representing Boston Public Schools. DePina is a graduate of Boston Public Schools from the Jeremiah E. Burke High School and has worked for the BPS for the past 19 years. He has served as a high school mathematics teacher and an assistant headmaster, and has served as the operational superintendent since 2015. DePina completed his post-secondary education at the University of Massachusetts at Boston where completed all three degrees including Master’s and Doctoral degrees in education.
DePina joined the ABCD Board of Directors in 2018, and he serves as a member of the Employment & Training/Youth Committee, the Head Start & Child Care Resources and Education Committee and the Grievance Committee.
