Aileen Gorman named Kennedy Center Volunteer of the Year and ABCD Community Hero

The Kennedy Center proudly recognizes Aileen Gorman as its Volunteer of the Year. She was also honored as one of ABCD’s 2025 Community Heroes at the celebration on Friday, October 24, at the Westin Copley Place.

Aileen’s dedication to Charlestown is inspiring. She has volunteered countless hours supporting families, organizing community events, and helping neighbors whenever there’s a need. “We’re honored to celebrate Aileen for all she does to make Charlestown stronger every day,” said Crystal Galvin, Director of Community Services.

Eileen Ward, President of the Center’s Board of Directors, added, “Aileen’s compassion and leadership reflect the very best of Charlestown. She leads quietly but powerfully, always focused on lifting others up.”

The Kennedy Center also extends a special thanks to Kim Mahoney and the Warren Tavern for hosting a celebration for Aileen’s family and friends in her honor.
