Uncasville, CT (October 7, 2025) – On October 6, the Connecticut Sun attended the ABCD Hoop Dreams event at TD Garden in Boston. ABCD Hoop Dreams is an annual charity basketball event that raises money to empower underserved youth in Greater Boston. Connecticut Sun President Jen Rizzotti and players Aneesah Morrow and Aaliyah Edwards attended the event as special guests alongside Abby Chin from NBC Sports Boston to participate in the festivities. Companies including Aetna, Live Nation, MassMutual, Morgan Stanley, and more signed up as teams for an opportunity to “hoop for charity” on the Boston Celtics championship court to claim the title of “ABCD Hoop Dreams Champion”.
Jen gave welcome remarks to tip off the event, and Aneesah and Aaliyah greeted youth, signed autographs, participated in a shootaround contest, and did the electric slide. Afterwards, award-winning journalist Bob Ryan and Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Brad Stevens co-hosted a panel discussion about women’s basketball featuring Rizzotti and Chin, allowing them to reflect on their careers, the extraordinary popularity of women’s basketball, the role of sports in the lives of girls and women, and many more topics that have graced the women’s basketball mainstream this year.
