Sarita Owens was elected to a Neighborhood Sector seat representing the Dorchester Neighborhood Service Center Advisory Board. A Boston native, Owens has been involved in the community for most of her life. Currently enrolled and employed at UMass Boston, Sarita handles the day-to-day operations for the Director of Athletics at UMass Boston and works with a variety of on campus groups and Vice Chancellors.
Owens joined the ABCD Board of Directors in 2023 and she serves as a member of the Employment & Training/Youth Committee.
