Patricia “Pat” Washington represents the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce on the ABCD Board of Directors. She held numerous leadership positions with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and retired after 38 years of service. For the past three years, Washington has volunteered as a tax preparer for the Internal Revenue Service’s VITA Program, completing federal and state tax returns at ABCD’s Mattapan Family Service Center. Washington is also a financial advisor to the Young SKITZ, a youth investment club formed to develop financial literacy and wealth building skills among children ages nine through 17, and she is a member of the Middlesex County (MA) Chapter of the Links, Inc., committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and persons of African ancestry.
Washington joined the ABCD Board of Directors in 2013 and is an officer of the Board serving as Treasurer. She was a 2015 recipient of the ABCD Community Service Award and is a member of the ABCD Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, and the Nominating Committee.
