Meshell Whyte serves in a Private Sector seat representing Homes for Families. Whyte is a Consumer Advocacy Team member with Homes for Families where she advocates for homelessness and other critical programs in the House of Representatives and the Senate on the Mass. State budget agenda for current and future fiscal year budgets. Whyte holds an Associate Degree in Biotechnology/Biomanufacturing, as well as Biological Science and Health Careers from Roxbury Community College. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus in Public Health at UMass Boston.
Whyte joined the ABCD Board of Directors in 2017 and she serves as a member of the Neighborhood Programs/Planning & Evaluation (NPPE) Committee and the Grievance Committee.
