As part of an effort to stimulate the economy, the federal government is providing every taxpayer with either $300 or $600 depending upon income eligibility.
You may be eligible for this money even if you don't normally file taxes! It's not too late, you have until October 15.
If you have $3,000 in qualifying income, you could be eligible for the economic stimulus payment even if you didn't pay taxes.
Qualifying income includes:
- Wages
- Social Security Retirement
- Social Security Disability Income
- Railroad Retirement
- Veterans' Benefits
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) does not count toward qualifying income.
