Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

ABCD offers free tax assistance at sites all across the city. Our volunteers are IRS-certified, and are fully capable of helping you find hundreds of dollars worth of tax credits you may not have even known you were eligible for!

Earned Income Tax Credit - the EITC is a refundable federal and state income tax credit that puts money in the pockets of hard-working people.

In 2010, ABCD’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program provided more than $7.6 million in Earned Income Tax Credits and income tax refunds to Boston’s low-income working families and individuals. ABCD’s program operated in 12 neighborhood and downtown sites and prepared almost 5,600 tax returns.
